Strey Khmer attends National Consulation on Women and Children

We, as members from 60 organizations and coalitions working on women and children, came together on 28-29 April, 2011 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for the National Consultation on Women and Children. There we worked to develop a strategy among ourselves to identify activities that will enable us to participate in the ASEAN process. Cambodia is the newest member of this regional organization. We came together to learn on Asian mechanisms, especially on the ACWC (The Rights of Women and Children), and to discuss on how it can contribute to Cambodia development and areas of concern that affect our communities, especially women and children as the result of ASEAN regional integration.

About Strey Khmer

Vision: For all women and girls in Cambodia to have voices to realize their human rights, to be free from harm, and to be treated equally in every area of their life in their homes and communities, in their work place, and in wider society.
