This week we are continuing to work on three separate reports due to our donors. First, we are wrapping up our report to Vital Voices who funded our leadership training held in Battambang in March, earlier this year. An accidental file issue has pushed back the deadline for our mid-term report for HBF regarding Women’s Voices – Women’s Choices radio programme. We hope to send it off soon!
We are also writing our donor report for Women Against Violence Everywhere (W.A.V.E.) who helped us support two gang rape victims last November. We couldn’t have provided the support we did without the generous support of W.A.V.E. Thank you again!
This coming Friday we will be leaving for Battambang to conduct our next round of land-rights training. For two days we will move throughout Toul Taek and Wat Kor districts. We will also continue to monitor our existing projects, including a mushroom growing agricultural initiative and our safehouse and centers that will soon be up and running.
Recently it has been brought to our attention that we are not communicating well with our donors. We hope to improve this over the coming weeks. We met to discuss donor relations and our plan for moving forward. Every week we will update this blog with project news and what’s happening within our organization. We are also developing a monthly newsletter.
Finally, we have sent through essays written by 8 different women, some from our organization and sub-projects and one woman who the staff at Strey Khmer have known for many years, that will hopefully result in scholarships to cover tuition fees. All the staff members of Strey Khmer work full-time and also attend university.
